Rotala Macrandra 'Mini' is a highly sought-after species that is characterized by its unique leaf shape and deep red to magenta hues. It makes for a beautiful background plant in nano planted aquariums and as a midground choice in larger planted aquariums. Quality lighting, CO2, and soft water are essential to promote growth. Beyond this, micronutrients are required if intense deep colors are desired. Individual stems should also be given sufficient space when planted as planting them too closely together will render the lower leaves void of light. A diamond in the rough, Rotala Macrandra 'Mini' is very demanding and can be difficult to keep, but results are well worth the extra effort and rewarding if successful.

Tissue culture plants are grown in-vitro by laboratories who specialize in propagating aquatic plants. There is a huge selection of plant species that have been propagated this way. This is truly the best option for those who want absolutely zero unwanted pests, algae and pesticides. This makes them perfect for shrimp keepers and any planted tank enthusiasts alike.

NOTE: It is important to remove the tissue culture agar gel before planting. Simply wash the gel away, divide, and plant.
